Samsung NX100, Camera with Sophisticated Lens

Samsung NX100 is the successor of NX10. Although still use same system without mirror reflection, NX100 now do not using Electronic Viewfinder (EVF). Thus, the user operates the NX100 like a pocket camera that rely on 3 inches LCD screen.

However, to maximize the use of the LCD, this screen using AMOLED the Smasung mainstay. The screen looks bright and displays bright colors. But based on experience, the AMOLED screen is bit misleading because quite often the images that appear will be different especially when compared with the images in the LCD screen on the PC.

Because without EVF, the body of Samsung NX100 compact enough for the class of DSLR cameras. However, unlike other competitors in this class, Samsung do not use Micro Four-Third, but stick with standard sensor that is APS-C DSLR. So indirectly, the NX100 is capable to producing qualified images.

At the product, Samsung using zoom lens with a range of 20-50mm or 30-77mm equivalent in 35mm format. These lenses have a special attraction because it is relatively small size as zoom lens. This lens also has a zoom lock sleeve when depreciated, so it does not take a lot of places when it is stored.

In addition, the NX100 lens features iFunction that is Fn key which located on the body of the lens. By pressing this button, the users can perform various functions of camera settings like ISO, aperture, shutter speed, and even white-balance settings. So besides the scroll wheel on the camera body, the forefront ring of the lens can also be used to set the parameters for taking pictures.

About the quality of the picture, because the sensor used in same class with DSLR, the resulting images up to ISO 1600 is still fit for use with a noise level that can still be tolerated. Unfortunately when at less-light conditions, there is no other choice but to use high ISO because NX100 has no internal flash.
