Product by Ricoh, Ricoh CX5 is wide-angle digital camera that has  magnification 10.7x optical zoom (equivalent to 28-300mm lens) with high-speed autofocus (AF) feature using Ricoh hybrid system.

Ricoh CX5 have AF that decreases time 0.2 seconds, both at the closest distance of 28 mm and 300 mm with telephoto. This speed is half of the previous version, CX4. It is certainly due to the presence of unique Ricoh system, hybrid AF. CX5 using 10 megapixel CMOS sensor that can ease the user while capturing images in low light circumstances.

CX5 has 14 modes that make the users being creative when shooting. Shooting Food (Cooking) mode which gives brightness to the colors accordance with the objects taken. Fireworks mode that can capture bursts of colorful fireworks in the sky. Golf Photo mode which can capture images in continuous take, which can be used to check golf stick apperance when it swing.

For macro photo enthusiasts, CX5 comes with Macro Zoom mode that can automatically optimize the position of the zoom with super-zoom resolution (with the nearest distance is 1 cm) to allow the object to be photographed with larger result than the actual shape. We can take pictures with this mode without degrading image quality at normal zoom position.

To produce creative images, CX5 comes with 6 different types, including Soft Focus, Cross Process, Toy Camera, and Minitatur. In order to give convenience for users, the camera uses HD LCD 920 000 pixels with 3-inch screen size.

Transfer images become easier with advent technology in CX5 which compatible with Eye-Fi card (X2 Series), that is built-in SD memory card. With the presence of this technology, it enables users to perform the transfer of captured image being faster, even it can send photos online.

Ricoh CX5 has dimensions of 102 x 58 x 29 mm with 17 grams weight (without batteries). Ricoh CX5 comes in 3 colors, they are black, silver and pink.
