Sony takes four years to create a successor to very popular A700. Finally they presenting SLT-A77 which comes with new technology, translucent mirrors and an electronic viewfinder. Sony targeting A77 as the best and most sophisticated camera sensor in APS-C class, with 24 MP CMOS sensor, 12 frames per second burst, 19 AF points (11 of them is cross type) and sharpest viewfinder in the world with 2.4 million dot OLED tech.
This camera body is wrapped in magnesium alloy, has two controls on the front and rear plus a joystick to control the menu faster, and equipped with main 3-inch LCD screen that can be folded or rotated. There is also additional LCD at the top of the camera. Shutter unit reaches 150 thousand times snap, with 1/250 second sync for flash and its maximum speed is 1/8000 sec. For A77 kit lens, it is available Sony DT 16-50mm f/2.8 SSM with constant aperture.

Sony SLT-A65
In the novice class, Sony offers more simple A65 compared to A77, and certainly more affordable. Although classified in novice class, A65 still has same sensor with A77 which is 24 MP. As compensation, AF module of A65 have only 11 AF points (3 of them is cross type), but nevertheless A65 is still very fast with 10 fps burst. And as the good news, A65 viewfinder also has resolution as sharp as A77. SLT-A77 and A65 Camera are equipped with GPS for geotagging feature.
SLT-A65 camera body is also wrapped in plastic as another consequence of the price which is cheaper than A77. For the LCD screen, A65 using 3-inch size that can be folded. The maximum shutter is 1/4000 second and sync flash 1/160 seconds. For A65 kit lens, there is available Sony DT 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.
A77 and A65 video recording capabilities have similarities with full HD 60 frames per second, continuous AF and stereo audio. There are also a direct button for video recording, external mic jack and manual exposure feature which can be used when recording video. Video recordings can be accommodated in modern SDXC memory card because A77 and A65 are compatible with SDXC and Memory Stick. Finally, both camera have a sensor with stabilizer Steady Shot that is useful when taking pictures or recording video.
